Adult Social Party Details
Winter Social -- this Friday! Please join us Friday night for the PTO’s Winter Social! We are expecting almost 200 of your favorite Spring Avenue friends!
A couple of housekeeping notes before the big night: You can still buy tickets to the social: https://www.springavepto.org/pto-store/adult-social
If you show up the night of the event please bring cash or a check as we won't have the means to process any credit card transactions for tickets.
If you plan on driving, there will be valet. If you plan on consuming adult beverages, please do not drive.
Dress comfortable. Some people choose to dress up and make this a "fancier" event while others wear nice jeans (no holes) and a nice shirt. Just be ready to dance!

If you registered last year you can use the same login information. The website will go live at 5 p.m. this Friday, January 31. Parties with limited numbers of attendees fill up fast, so please be ready to purchase at 5 p.m. Friday! We have a lot of new, great parties this year and fantastic items to bid on! A unique experience that started last year is Principal and Assistant Principal of the Day! Mr. Lawson and Ms. Calder made it very fun day for the winners! We encourage you to bid on this one! Most of the teachers are hosting a joint Bowling Party in March. This was a blast last year for teachers and kids! Highest bidder for each teacher gets to bring a friend too. The adult, teacher and kid parties will close 2 weeks later on Friday, February 14 at 11:59 p.m.
Any true auction items that are only available for one winner will go to the highest bidder Friday night by midnight when bidding ends.
Corner Bakery Retail Fundraiser
Eat at Corner Bakery in La Grange Saturday, February 22nd from 7:30a-9p and they will donate 15% of all sales back to the PTO.

Author Visit- New Date
Matthew Cordell Author Visit
Spring Avenue is excited to welcome author and illustrator Matthew Cordell to our school on the new date of Monday, February 10. Thank you to our generous Spring Ave PTO for sponsoring his visit. Families are invited to attend his presentations in the Library. Books are still for sale and will be autographed on the day of his visit. All autographed books will be sent home with students on Monday, February 10. Please contact Ms. Marek with book orders or questions.

Flying High Fundraiser 2/7/20
Calling all kids! Spring is hosting another fun night at Flying High!
All students 5 years and older are welcome to attend. Save time and skip the line by registering online now, then drop the kids off and enjoy your Friday Night!
Need something to do with those free hours? Head over to Kenny’s in Countryside. Kenny’s is donating 30% of all sales to the D105 Foundation which provides four-year renewable scholarships to D105 students. Have a great time and make a difference!

The D-105 Foundation is hosting three different events this year, make sure to mark your calendars:
February 7 – Fundraiser at Kenny’s in Countryside - We are receiving 30% all sales of menu prices only - no specials
March 7 – Countryside St. Patrick’s Day Parade
May 16 – Windy City Thunderbolts Game

Spring PTO Would Like To Hear What You Think
Spring PTO has been very fortunate to experience successful fundraising all thanks to our family community!
The PTO has funded amazing programs like Summer Reading Program, author visits, the cultural arts assembly as well as our other traditional events.
This year we have upgraded our basketball hoops, added heat regulating items to classrooms and funded additional shelving for the library. Spring PTO has also donated to Gurrie's Classroom Grant Intiative, the D105 Foundation and LTHS Post Prom Event to encourage students to enjoy a substance-free atmosphere.
We are asking for suggestions on other ways to use the funds we've raised. Send your suggestions to Stacey Ponczek staceyponczek@gmail.com.
We will compile all ideas in a survey for parents to vote and work to bring these ideas to fruition.
